We are delighted to be representing an established local client in their search for a Payroll/Accounts Assistant, in a newly created role based near Swavesey, Cambridgeshire.

This is a varied role, where duties are split between running payroll for the whole business (3 days) and assisting the Financial Controller with accounts related duties (2 days). Typically you will be required to:

  • Complete the full end to end payroll of up to 100 weekly and monthly staff
  • Apply any statutory deductions, including NI, PAYE, SMP, SSP, SPP,
  • Process Payroll Auto Enrolment and RTI returns
  • Issue statutory forms, such as P60, P11D and P45

Adhoc Accounts duties, such as

  • Bank and Statement Reconciliations
  • Assisting with reporting at month end
  • Assisting with Purchase Ledger

  • Previous experience of running payroll for a small business is essential
  • Proven track record within an accounts environment
  • Team player with a flexible attitude
  • IT Literate, especially with Microsoft Excel
