Hours Monday - Friday 9 am - 5.30 pm (One hour lunch)
Our client is an established multinational brand with a strong retail presence through their 200+ stores based throughout the UK.
They provide a range of products from pawn broking, personal loans and foreign currency to the consumer market. Their goal is to build a brand which provides innovative products that are both transparent and fair in addition to providing exceptional customer service.
They are currently seeking to appoint a Pawn broking assistant to work within their asset centre based in Nottingham.
The Asset Centre is responsible for receiving, assessing, authenticating and disposing of pawn broking, bought gold and other high end value objects. Your role will be to assist in the processing of an item through the inventory, processing and disposition teams within the desired timescale
Duties & responsibilities
Assessing the authenticity of items, processing them and ensuring that they are allocated to the correct team for disposal.
Accurately and efficiently process items through the stock management system, proficiently inputting data and generating reports.
To be accountable for the control and allocation of all stock within their remit and to provide clear and concise communication across all levels required.
Working to targets for the accurate allocation of a wide variety of items
To follow all company processes and procedures, whilst working in conjunction with the Team Leader to provide constructive and consistent feedback.
To have the ability to authenticate precious metal and diamond items confidently and accurately.
Strong PC skills, XL experience would be a distinct advantage
Attention to detail with a meticulous approach to your work
A 3 month comprehensive training programme is in place however experience of working with high end jewellery and other high value goods through an auction house, jewellers or pawnbrokers is essential.
