Patent Attorney Associate / Senior Associate (Engineering Specialism)
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate with an engineering specialism to join a leading intellectual property law firm in the UK and Europe. This role is based in their Central Bristol office which has a large regional presence with a team of c. 50 and serves major multinational businesses in automotive, aerospace, packaging and energy sectors with direct client relationships in the UK, Europe and overseas. About the Role
Our client needs someone who is ready to take on and manage a significant case load. With a portfolio of work to inherit and grow, this position is ideal for someone looking for progression and the option to build and manage a team.
Consisting predominantly of direct European client work, including patent drafting, prosecution and opposition work along with top level strategic client advice, there will be minimal agency prosecution work.
Whilst joining the team responsible for a major client working on wind turbines, they also offer variety to keep you interested, in aerospace, automotive and medical devices, as well as registered designs for household names. Our clients range from multinational companies to start ups. Experience of aerodynamics would be great, however structural engineering, high performance/composite materials and/or control systems experience would also be really interesting to them.
If you are a Qualified CPA/EPA with a good degree in an Engineering discipline, we would be very interested in hearing from you.
