Tonic are currently searching for a Pastry Sous Chef to fill an upcoming vacancy at our Client's multiple AA Rosette hotel near Tetbury in Gloucestershire, the role will be available to start in the new year. This is a kitchen where a large and well trained brigade prepare A La Carte menus and cater to events at an excellent standard using the best of British and local produce.
This Pastry Sous Chef will play a part in managing a large kitchen during service and will supervise several Chefs of Chef De Partie level or lower whilst working the pastry section. A separate advert has also been posted for a role within the same business as Junior Sous Chef and candidates are invited to apply to either or both. It is important that applicants for the role of Pastry Sous are experienced in AA Rosette or Michelin rated kitchens and have some experience managing staff and some other aspects of kitchen operation. The salary available is £24.5k and live in accommodation is available, it is desirable that candidates would have their own transport due to the business' remote location.

- Hold good experience in pastry and are able to produce dishes at a high standard
- Are comfortable managing aspects of a kitchen's operation; this could include staff, stock and an awareness of financial viability
- Can show stable career histories where any short stays can be explained due to valid reasons
