Pastoral Youth Worker

A highly regarded school in Oxford are looking for a Pastoral Youth Worker.

Your role as a Pastoral Youth Worker is to primarily be there to support the children their school day. Many of the children are coming from backgrounds in which they have not been supported. They are particularly struggling with learning difficulties and need support with their education.

The class teacher has special interventions and support structures in place for the students. In your role as a Pastoral Youth Worker, you will facilitate these interventions throughout the school day.

To be a successful Pastoral Youth Worker, you will need to be compassionate, keen to make a difference and also positive. These children need a resilient and positive person to uplift them every day and help facilitate a learning environment in which they feel comfortable and supported.

They are looking for someone who is eager to learn and get stuck in. those individuals who are looking to establish a career in psychology or education, or even those who are simply looking for a career change are encouraged to apply for this role.

Not only will you receive amazing hands on experience, you will also learn the key points and skills needed to best support students with their mental health needs. These skills are amazing for any route you are looking to go down.
