Do you want to provide guidance to children with additional needs?

A fantastic school based in Wheatley has an opportunity for a recent graduate or passionate individual to join their staff as a Pastoral Support Assistant. The school provide education to students from a diverse range of backgrounds and have social, emotional and mental health challenges. The Pastoral Support Assistant will play a crucial part in the children learning independence in a safe and nurturing environment.

The responsibilities of the Pastoral Support Assistant role:

  • Providing 1-1 support to students
  • Acting as a role model
  • Creating a nurturing safe space
  • Encouraging students to follow self-investigation
  • Facilitate therapeutic techniques
  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 3:30

This is an amazing opportunity for anyone with an interest in children's development, educational psychology, behavioural therapy or just passionate about supporting children! The ideal candidate will have some previous experience working with children/in a specialist setting or education in a relevant area (although not mandatory.
