We are working exclusively on a retained basis with one of the leading accountancy firms in Manchester to appoint a Partner Designate to work in their stunning City Centre offices based in the heart of Manchester’s Financial District. This is an ideal opportunity for an Audit & Accounts professional who would like to progress through to Salaried Partner level. The Partner Designate Job will involve looking after a mixed client portfolio, and requires someone with the necessary technical knowledge to oversee all compliance based work within the practice.
This North West based accountancy firm has been acclaimed for innovation in their approach to business advice and accountancy services. They have had a highly successful 2017 to date with numerous additional new clients joining the firm and now require the services of an experienced Partner Designate to bolster their Senior Management Team.
The role would suit a confident Audit Manager or Partner Designate looking to gain some Practice Management experience and fully utilize their leadership traits. The Partner Designate Job will involve the management of a team of Qualified and Part Qualified Accountants within the compliance department. It will also involve managing workflow within the department, ensuring all deadlines are met. As the firm already has several Partners with strong Business Development skills, they are not seeking someone to build a portfolio from scratch, but instead have clients passed over to them This presents a unique opportunity to move into a Senior Management role without the pressure of winning new fees.
You will have at least 5 years’ audit & accounts experience gained within a practice environment, coupled with excellent communication skills. You will be capable of training and motivating a sizeable team to exceed client service expectations, as well as ensuring the profitability of the department. Additionally, the successful candidate will act as a technical lead within the firm, therefore your level of technical knowledge, particularly around current reporting guidelines must be exceptional.

The main responsibilities for this Audit & Accounts Senior Job in Manchester include;
- Reporting directly to the Audit partner and carrying out audit work from planning to completion
- Accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole traders, Partnerships, LLP's & Charities
- Reviewing the work of more junior members of staff
- Taking full responsibility for the day to day audit process
- Working closely with the Partners to ensure the efficiency of the compliance department
The perfect Audit & Accounts Partner Designate will be ACCA/ACA qualified with a number of years' experience of working within the audit & assurance department of a busy public practice accountancy firm.
