An opportunity has arisen for a skilled and qualified gardener to look after newly constructed gardens to a private house in South Kensington, London, for two full days per week on a self-employed basis.
The beautiful newly constructed gardens (front and rear) have been designed by Ian Kitson and Julie Toll, both of whom will have ongoing involvement in the garden.
Key tasks include lawn care, perennial plant care, specimen shrub planting and shaping, mulching, weeding, training climbers, leaf clearance, paving cleaning and operation of the irrigation system. The client can provide all maintenance machinery and tools on site so as to ensure the successful applicant will not have to transport these on each work day.
Applicants must be experienced and qualified horticulturalists who can confidently manage trees, shrubs, lawns and perennial borders. An academic horticultural qualification and spray certificates would be beneficial, though demonstrable gardening experience is paramount. Candidates with extensive experience of gardening on private estates are encouraged to apply.
Applicants should be physically fit and enthusiastic, with a good eye for detail and an ability to complete your work to a high standard at all times. This position is offered to self-employed gardeners on a permanent basis.
