Part Time Purchase Ledger Clerk

I am currently recruiting for a growing organisation in Coventry who are looking to recruit a part time Purchase Ledger Clerk.

The hours and days are flexible, ideally 3- 4 days per week and school hours are preferable.

You will be responsible for:

• Maintaining the purchase ledger including:

• Coding and posting of purchase invoices

• Assist in reconciling supplier accounts on a monthly basis

• Assist in reconciling supplier statements with corresponding accounts on ledgers and contacting suppliers in respect of any queries arising.

• Ensuring refunds due are received promptly.

• Liaising with Purchasing Departments to secure the receipt of authorised invoices to ensure inclusion on routine payment run.

• Ensure retention in accounts department of purchase ledger documents for specified time period.

• Providing cover for the credit controller as required

• To assist the Reporting Accountant and Finance Director with ad-hoc exercises that may arise from time to time.

• To assist with reception and general administration duties as and when required

The successful candidate must have gained previous financial accounting experience and VAT knowledge would be an advantage.
