Our Client has a large property portfolio within the South West including lettings, associated maintenance, purchases and disposals. Due to a restructure within the Property Services Department, a part-time assignment has arisen for a Property Co-ordinator to cover Thursdays and Fridays each week. It is envisaged that, initially, this assignment will be for 6 months.
The main responsibilities of this role are to provide a full and efficient property management role in the on-going procurement and disposal of housing portfolio and management of properties. This will include: managing and monitoring the sale and purchase of houses in conjunction with the Head of Property Services, Surveyors, other internal representatives and other professionals; instructing agents and solicitors on property sales, purchases & lettings; liaising with Maintenance Contractors and to authorising payments (within agreed limits); undertaking statutory declarations as required for sale purposes; keeping the Finance Manager abreast of cash requirements and receipts; arranging annual valuations for the purpose of audit; liaising with regulatory bodies, ensuring all legislative and insurance requirements are compliant; managing property vacancy process, facilitating lets and managing vacant properties; liaising with tenants, agents and letting agents, via telephone, email and written correspondence and further developing and administering the property database.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in the property sector (this is an ESSENTIAL requirement for this assignment). Furthermore, they will be educated to A level or equivalent with experience of working within a customer-focused environment. Other skills and abilities will include: IT literate - able to use Microsoft Office, Outlook, Email and Web browsers; an ability to plan and prioritise work schedule; effective time management; an ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner; strong organisational skills; an ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative as required. Able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
The working days and hours for this part-time assignment are Thursday 09.00 to 17.15 and Friday 09.00 to 17.00 (with one hour for lunch break each day). Totalling 14.25 working hours per week. The hourly pay rate for this assignment will be £13.00.
