This part time HR Manager role is a new position, it will be excellent for a high calibre individual, working within a highly successful and progressive high tech business. You will be standalone managing all aspects of the HR mix. This isn’t a standard transactional HR role, instead you will be working with the senior team, leading best in class techniques in recruitment, engagement and reward. This will be a part time role 2 days per week, with flexibility.
The job is truly generalist. You need to be very hands on and happy to do all your own HR administration as well as the generalist management functions you would expect. You will handle all resourcing, including complex roles that can be hard to fill and very specialist. You will work with managers and staff to embed engagement strategies, with the goal of stimulating and retaining the high calibre workforce. The rest of the role will be all the normal aspects of HR, keeping in mind that this is the first time that HR has been brought in house, having previously been outsourced. This will make the role exciting as you will have the opportunity to implement a lot of fresh best practice and will be able to grow into the role and with the company as it grows.
The ideal candidate
This is a generalist role so you will need to have HR Management experience across all aspects of HR. The workforce is intelligent and many are industry experts so you will need to be a high calibre individual with a strong, progressive track record within HR. This is not a role where you will employ stereotypical HR techniques, instead you will need to design processes, systems and initiatives with your high performing workforce in mind, focused on excellence. You will have commercial acumen and will enjoy engaging with senior managers, whilst having a down to earth approach.
The role will be part time, so you will need to commit to 2 days per week. Over half the time will be spent in the central Oxford office. The rest of the time will be in the central London (with some flexibility on time to allow for commute times).
