This is a standalone role reporting directly to the Managing Director and working alongside the external accountants.
You will be responsible for looking after all aspects of finance from the transactional elements (sales & purchase ledger) to management reporting.
This role will continually evolve as the company continues to grow and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to put their own stamp on things.

The role involves managing the invoicing, payments, PAYE, payroll, cash flow, and general business administration. You will need to be flexible and approachable with the ability to hit the ground running.
As the sole accounts keeper for the company, you need to be able to work unsupervised and will take responsibility for bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, payment processing, credit control, processing purchases, petty cash issue and reconciliation, employee expenses, invoicing clients, VAT returns and preparation of month and year-end accounts.
Other functions of this position include:
• All company financial administration including financial accounting and management accounting
• Ensuring compliance and that statutory obligations are met
• General HR duties including record keeping, payroll, workplace pension management and employee contracts
• Maintenance and update of Management Information
• Cash flow projection
The successful candidate would have performed a similar role within an SME and would ideally be a minimum of AAT qualified, although applicants qualified by experience will still be considered.
