Manufacturing business in Chorley seeking an Accounts Assistant for a part time role on a permanent basis.

This family owned manufacturing business is well established and has an excellent reputation within the industry and due to recent growth, they have approached Hays seeking a Part Time Accounts Assistant to start on a permanent basis and work for 16-20 hours per week.
Your new role
Joining the accounts team reporting into the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for raising manual invoices and posting purchase invoices amongst general accounts assistant responsibilities. Working within this close knit and supportive team, you will ensure all invoices are matched to correct PO's in a timely manner, attaching supporting documentation to evidence findings and subsequently obtaining credit notes.
You will also be completing bank reconciliation, as well as investigating any discrepancies and making the management accountant aware of any issues. The preparation and posting of manual sales invoices will also be required. Although this is a part time role, you will be expected to work 16-20 hours across 4 or 5 days.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have experience working within an accounts assistant/purchase ledger capacity and you will be seeking part time work for the long term. Experience of working both on SAP and in the manufacturing industry would also be beneficial.
