You will be working for a professional and reputable company in the outskirts of York. This Part-Time Accounts Assistant job has been created to support the Transactional and Finance Team.
Your new role
You will be responsible for a variety of duties including maintaining the cashbooks involving inputting and coding bank statements accurately onto the system, raising payments and bank reconciliations. You will help maintain the Sales Ledger including posting invoices, opening new accounts, allocating cash and resolving queries. You will assist maintaining the Purchase Ledger involving processing the invoices, credit/debit card payments, expenses and also dealing with queries. You will help maintain control accounts, process monthly journals and assist with banking. Other duties may be required to assist the Finance Team including storing financial documents and reviewing record maintenance procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you must have excellent numeracy and computer skills and have experience within a similar role. You must be proficient in working to tight deadlines, be able to work independently and part of a team and take a flexible approach to any duties required.
