Part Time Customer Services Advisor - Property Services

Hyde Property Services (HPS) is an internal service provider with 160 trade's operatives providing repairs and maintenance to over 14,000 homes across the South East of England.

Core purpose of your role

You will act as the first point of contact for customers, in our planned maintenance team providing a service to generate measurable customer satisfaction and continually improve service levels. You will need to be able to diagnose the repair by asking the residents questions and then book an appointment in our IT system allocating the repair to the right type of trade staff.

About the job:

  • Deliver an exemplar front line Customer Service via all media, including telephone, web and email ensuring a high quality information and advice service is provided in line with Hyde's Vision, policies and Service Promise.
  • Work in our planned maintenance team dealing with external works.
  • Organise works for operatives.
  • Chase subcontractors.
  • Cover all administrative work and support on the phones
  • Act a first point of contact for customers, providing a responsive service in order to generate measurable customer satisfaction and continually improve service levels.
  • You will need to be able to diagnose the repair by asking the residents questions and then book an appointment in our IT system allocating the repair to the right type of trade
  • Demonstrate behaviours ensuring that an excellent service delivery is maintained in all aspects of the role.
  • Proactively identify process improvements ensuring internal and external customers are at the heart of our business and recommend these via the Team Leader.


About you:

  • Work on own initiative.
  • Proven competencies within an Admin & Customer Service role.
  • Ability to tailor communication to suit the audience.
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Someone who takes ownership, is delivery focus seeing things through to the end.
  • Demonstrate behaviours ensuring that an excellent service delivery is maintained in all aspects of the role.
  • Experience of social housing, responsive repairs/planned works or technical background would be essential.
  • You will be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook and have good writing skills.
  • Happy to work part time hours - Thursday to Friday (8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm and 10am - 6pm on rotational shift pattern).
