Our client is a medium sized, highly respected Firm of Accountants based in Chichester. Due to expansion, they are seeking to appoint a new member of staff.
They are looking to appoint an experienced bookkeeper who can undertake a variety of bookkeeping duties for a number of clients. The work will be really varied and could typically include looking after ledgers for clients, doing bank and other reconciliation work for different companies, preparing VAT returns for them, and other similar duties. The Firm is willing to train candidates in accounts preparation work if they wish to learn this as well. The Firm uses Xero software, and whilst previous experience of this would be great, it is by no means essential, as they are willing to will train on this cloud based software.
The Firm is offering part-time hours, and they can be reasonably flexible how they are split. They would want somebody for between roughly 18-25 hours per week, and they are happy for these to be done over 3 or 4 full days, or 4 or 5 shorter days, and they can accommodate school hours.
Candidates should have good double-entry bookkeeping skills and be happy to undertake a range of bookkeeping duties, as well as some general office administration tasks.
