Part Time Admin - Halifax, West Yorkshire.

Job Type: Part Time

Salary: £8.00 - £9.00 PH - Flexible hours to suit.


Working with the Finance & HR Managers with the day today running of the Finance & HR Departments along with helping out with general administration duties throughout the business.

You will be working for a well established business based in the Halifax Area.

I have been working with my client now a number of years and this role offers an excellent and stable work environment.

The role has ongoing training and support as well as on-site parking if you drive, plus it's on a major route for public transport if you don't drive.

Don't worry too much about ticking all the skills below as training will be given on the skills you might be missing.


1) Must be a good communicator and have a good telephone manner, take messages and have a friendly approach to visitors to the company and offer hospitality as and when required.

2) Be competent in using Microsoft Office Suite and Sage Accounts.

3) Have a clear understanding of company workflow processes.

4) Be able to work as part of a team and motivate and support other team members. Be capable of using own initiative.

5) Assist with ordering materials and raise purchase orders.

6) Identify office stationery requirements and order as and when required.

7) Open incoming post then distribute as required.

8) General Office filing as and when required.

9) Check deliveries, chase late deliveries and resolve any issues that occur.

Human Resources

1) Issue clock cards for all members of staff every week.

2) Contact employment agencies as instructed by the Production & Distribution Manager. Fill in weekly timesheets and submit to the relevant agency.

3) Record holidays, sickness and absences and make sure all paperwork is completed.

4) Work alongside the Finance & HR Manager and ensure that all relevant paperwork is filed away in each individuals file.

5) Check First Aid Boxes and replenish as and when required.

6) Organise Birthday card for all members of staff.


1) Tie up delivery notes with purchase orders.

2) Check clock cards against time sheets on a daily basis.

3) Hand in collated time sheets to Finance Manager- weekly.

4) Check job numbers and allocation of time and produce a weekly spreadsheet to show chargeable hours to jobs.

5) Basic input of financial documentation such as sales invoices, purchase invoices and timesheet information on to accounts package and work on spreadsheets as and when required.

6) Raise purchase orders and stock issues in accounts software as and when required.

7) To undertake any other duties commensurate with these responsibilities as may be required from time to time.

Person Specification

Strong organisational and communication skills are essential. Be able to work as part of a team and to motivate and support other team members. Capable of using own initiative. Able to develop good relationships with external contacts suppliers and customers. Be reliable, honest, trustworthy and confidential
