Looking for a part-time Bookkeeping position? How about being in the idyllic countryside, working to support a family run business with all aspects of accounts and the day-to-day functioning of the business?
This position is working Monday, Wednesday and Friday 1pm - 5pm based on the Isle of Sheppey. Due to the location of our client, you will need to be a driver to get to the role, but free parking is offered on site. In addition, the hours are non-negotiable, so if you are not able to work these days or hours, then please do not apply.
We are looking for a diligent part-time Bookkeeper who is happy to complete other administration tasks to support the business. The duties can include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing inter-company invoices;
- Preparing and submitting the company VAT return;
- CIS submissions;
- Sales, purchase and nominal ledger;
- GBP bank reconciliations;
- Manage fleet MOT, service and insurances;
- All aspects of credit control;
- Answering all incoming calls;
- Meeting and greeting customers arriving on site.
There is potential scope in this role to be offered training on the payroll function, but this would be a later development, once passing your six-months probation.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent telephone manner, be able to provide exemplary customer service as well as be happy to support with holiday cover when required. Due to this position being a lone working opportunity, it is essential that you have previous accounts experience and would be comfortable working on your own. Successfully shortlisted candidate will be subject to a face-to-face interview as well as testing prior to your details being submitted to the client.
4 weeks holiday (pro-rata) plus bank holidays, including shut-down over Christmas.
