I am recruiting for an Accounts Assistant position in Epsom.  It is a maternity leave contract until Jan/Feb 2019.  
The client would ideally like the successful candidate to work 4 or 5 days per week and is flexible on hours, so could be part days or school hours c 25 hours per week but again flexible.  

Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting with sales ledger posting and reconciliation
• Assisting with credit control
• Assisting with purchase ledger posting, payments and reconciling statements
• Assisting with making payments to approved suppliers, checking payments and ensuring correct paperwork
• Assisting with reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards
• Prepare end of month journals and assisting Finance Director with month-end routines
• VAT returns and submit after Financial Director confirms
• Assist with other financial tasks as required

Essential requirements:
• A minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
• Able to work effectively using own initiative
• Able to work closely with Accounts Administrator
• Self-motivated, highly organised and able to prioritise tasks
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience of working for a small business
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
