Part-time Accounts Assistant - 2 days per week

MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting a part-time Accounts Assistant for a well-established business in Colchester to support their finance department. The client has said that they are ideally looking for someone that is looking to work 2 days a week or 16 hours a week. This is an eight month contract covering maternity leave. This opportunity is paying up to £19,000 pa pro rata per annum.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Responsible for the accounts procedure including sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
- Banking cheques and cash and ensuring information is recorded onto Excel and Sage 50 Accounts
- Responsible for collecting credit card payments
- Paying invoices by BACS or cheque
- Inputting financial data onto Sage Accounts package
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements
- Producing and reconciling monthly comparison reports
- Process various direct debit reports

Required experience:

- Recent accounts experience, especially with purchase ledger and sales ledger duties
- Confident using various Microsoft Office packages and Sage 50 Accounts package
- Excellent organisational skills
