Part Qualified Stock Accountant

Reed Accountancy currently have a wonderful opportunity for a Part Qualified (CIMA or ACCA) Accountant to join our Thatcham based client on a full time, permanent basis.

This role will be reporting to the Head of Finance and working within a busy and thriving team environment where you will lead the stock control team in the performance of their roles, alongside reporting of relevant stock information to other departments and to act as the Finance interface between these departments.

Key responsibilties of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure that third party stocks are properly reconciled, losses identified, accounted for and claimed back where appropriate.
o Preparation of the monthly stock disposal cost file and stock adjustments files and setting and managing KPI’s for distressed stock.
• Weekly stock reconciliations and in depth usage analysis
o Review of the Material Usage Variance Report, highlighting and root cause analysis of significant variances, monitoring of corrective actions and ensuring that these work consistently.
• Ensure proper performance of the perpetual inventory, weekly and monthly counts and driving the corrective action plans

This role includes 2 direct reports and therefore previous experience managing a team would be beneficial but is not essential.
