PARISH CLERK/ RESPONSIBLE FINANCE OFFICER
(Full time post)
Danbury Parish Council is seeking to appoint a Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (due to the retirement of the current post-holder) who will take overall responsibility for the Council's day to day operations whilst helping develop and implement its future growth strategy and associated plans.
An appropriate qualification in local government administration is essential and therefore the successful applicant must hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA).
Scale Point 32 £28,485 (NALC/SLCC) for 37 hours per week.
Hours of work are 37 per week to be agreed. The Clerk is also required to attend evening meetings, which are normally held on a Monday or Wednesday (average of 3 evening meetings a month - time of in lieu is given for these).
To work together with two Assistant Clerks, a Neighbourhood Plan Co-ordinator and Groundsman as part of a small friendly team providing advice and administrative support to the Parish Council. To liaise with Councillors, members of staff, local authority officers, outside organisations and members of the public as required.
The Clerk works from the Parish Council Office at the Old Schoolhouse, Main Road, Danbury CM3 4NQ.
