About the Role

Recruit UK is looking for an experienced Paraplanner on behalf of a leading wealth management team in Cambridge. In this role, you will actively support Wealth Planners by carrying out high-quality research across financial planning products and services, including pensions, life insurance, tax planning, and investment management. Your work will help deliver a full, holistic advice service that results in excellent outcomes for clients.

You will prepare client-centric suitability reports, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and proactively identify areas for future advice. The ideal candidate is confident in supporting Wealth Planners, technically strong, and committed to staying up-to-date with market developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research to support Wealth Planners in recommending suitable solutions to meet client needs and objectives
  • Perform calculations and cash-flow modelling where necessary
  • Prepare clear, accurate suitability reports and correspondence for clients
  • Proactively identify potential future advice opportunities for Wealth Planners
  • Undertake relevant training and maintain Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
  • Contribute to process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and sharing best practices
  • Support the wider team collaboratively to ensure excellent client outcomes

Requirements / Skills

  • Experience providing first-class paraplanning support within financial services
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning disciplines including Investments, Pensions, and Protection
  • RQF Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)
  • Commitment to working towards Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning or Chartered status (desirable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with XPlan and cashflow planning software (desired)
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong numerical skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and planning ability
