£25,821 per annum hour for 36 hours per week based at County Hall, Penrhyn Road, Kingston Upon Thames. This position is based inside one of our main area offices, click HERE to see a 360 degree view of the building and surrounding area along with a view of the reception.

About the Role

At Surrey County Council we are looking to recruit to our successful in house legal team. We have two exciting opportunities within our Property Team and our Adults, Education, Litigation and Employment Team (AELE). 

The positions play a central role in supporting the varied work of their teams.

The AELE paralegal will hold their own caseload of debt cases and general civil litigation, including property litigation

The Property paralegal will also have their own caseload a variety of property matters relating to property law with particular emphasis on deferred payment agreements.

We are looking for flexible, motivated and ambitious individuals to join our progressive service, which has been working in partnership with legal services in Brighton & Hove City Council, East Sussex County Council and West Sussex County Council as Orbis Public Law. You’ll be passionate about working as part of a team that delivers timely, clear and effective legal advice, representation and assistance to the Council and its partner authorities. You will be expected to hold a full and varied caseload for your area of work whilst providing administrative and case work support to all team members. Recent legal experience, either in-house or in private practice, is preferred.
