Salary: £23,000 - £25,000
Contract: Full time, permanent


About the Role


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Assistant or Paralegal to join our dynamic Civil Litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a busy, client-focused legal practice, supporting a wide range of litigation matters and developing strong practical legal skills.

Key Responsibilities


As part of the litigation team, you will:


  • Support the Civil Litigation Partner in managing and progressing a varied caseload of civil court claims.

  • Draft correspondence, witness statements, instructions to counsel, schedules of loss, and general advice documents.

  • Attend client meetings, court hearings, mediations, and conferences with counsel.

  • Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care.

  • Apply your understanding of legal principles and procedural rules to assess case merits and advise clients appropriately.

  • Contribute to the efficient and timely delivery of legal services in areas including:

  • Commercial and Civil Litigation

  • Property Litigation (Landlord & Tenant)

  • Contentious Probate

  • Employment

  • Insolvency

  • Matrimonial Matters

  • Assist with business development initiatives and promotional activities for the firm's litigation department.About You
    We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Legally knowledgeable - A law degree or equivalent qualification is advantageous.

  • Organised and proactive - Able to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Client-focused - A confident communicator who can handle client interactions with tact and professionalism.

  • Tech-savvy - Strong IT and telephone skills are essential.

  • Collaborative - Comfortable working as part of a supportive and high-performing team.What We Offer
