Paper Finishing Manager

  • Ensure that the whole manufacturing team follows hygienic and safety policies. Identify and report unsafe practices to manager immediately
  • Ensure compliance to customer requirements. Comply with entire Q/A manual to assure manufacturing of high quality products. Comply with company policy and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Complete daily assigned tasks to meet production volume and schedule
  • Attend daily meetings to prioritize and plan manufacturing activities to maintain on-time delivery. Communicate production status to management on regular basis
  • Set standard operating procedures and manufacturing guidelines. Review manufacturing related documents. Ensure to complete documents inclusive of SOP worksheets, change controls and deviations
  • Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements for high quality, safety and cost effectiveness
  • Arrange, assign, adjust and monitor shifts in line with business demands
  • Develop and maintain effective relations with all company employees and with departmental heads at various levels of organization
  • Work with operations manager to assist in all manufacturing related issues (processes paperwork)
  • Collaborate with team as well as external departments to implement best practices in manufacturing processes
  • Conduct routine audits of equipment, processes and schedules
  • Effective use of the company's time management system
  • Write and present employee performance reviews
  • Maintain and present training to subordinates on every manufacturing procedure, processes and equipment
  • Employ, interview, monitor and conduct disciplinary methods for all subordinates
  • Secure plant availability (cleaning, service, maintenance)
  • Report repairs to engineering department promptly. Assist in preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities
  • Analyse technical proposals and results of experimental trials (e.g. on new equipment)
  • Raise purchase orders
  • Strict cost adherence with agreed departmental budgets


  • At least 3 years working experience as an shift supervisor or previous experience in managing teams in a factory setting is a must
  • Print and paper manufacturing experience would be beneficial
  • Extensive knowledge of all processes in manufacturing and adjacent departments
  • Knowing other departments connected with work and the important contacts there
  • Must have gone through basic courses related to leadership & management
  • Completed education/training particularly in the vocational and technical fields is preferred
  • Good knowledge on computer and computer software (MS Office, SAP)
  • Demonstrates familiarity with Process Control Systems (Siemens, Practicon,…)
  • Exhibits broad familiarity with company products
  • Proven knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (5S, Lean manufacturing, Kaizen)
