Head teacher PA's job in Bristol
Your new school
A secondary school located in North Bristol are currently looking for an experienced PA to work alongside the Head teacher and Senior Leadership Team to provide support during a time of change in the school. A demanding role, but you will be supported by a fantastic team of staff and be working in a school that strives to achieve the best opportunities for their students and staff. The role will be full-time and hours will be 8-4:30, this may vary depending on the requirements of SLT. It is temporary position until the end of the summer term.
Your new role
In your new role supporting the Head and the SLT, you will be the first point of contact for them dealing with all enquiries and ensure that all messages are dealt with strict confidentiality. You will need to organise and maintain the Head teachers diary and schedule meetings. You will be required to support the Senior Leadership Team by taking minutes in meetings and distributing among the team, as well as liaising with key staff to prepare reports with agreed deadlines. You will also need to create and maintain accurate and confidential filing and record keeping systems.To act as the point of liaison between the Executive Headteacher and school staff, parents and the local community.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have excellent organisational skills and secretarial experience. You will have outstanding communication skills as you will be liaising with a number of key stakeholders, with attention to detail in all written correspondence. You will possess strong ICT skills and be a confident user on all Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience of working within Education would be desirable alongside the use of SIMS is preferential, but not essential.
