This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of ambitions personnel who are acting as an employment agency.

We supporting a specialist organisation based in Grantham that provide legal, administrative, financial and training services to educational establishments remotely at their sites; nearly all activity is electronic.

Our client is looking for a part time PA / Book Keeper; in this standalone role the Director is often on the road and accordingly needs high quality support back in the office.

Via regular communication, you will need the confidence to work alone, in providing the normal range of secretarial, PA and telephone tasks.

This is a part time time position (Monday – Friday, 0900 – 1600 with 1 hour for lunch, 30hrs per week) however during school holidays working hours are considerably reduced and flexible, with opportunities to work remotely if you wish. This arrangement is open to further consideration.

This role would suit someone who is used to providing a professional, high level of service.

Attention to detail is absolutely essential and it’s really important that all documentation is polished and professional.

Interviews will be conducted WC 4th / 11th February 2019.

You will be responsible for:


Checking and responding to emails
Compiling documents for college meetings - using PDF, word and excel documents

Combing documents into a bound document to email to members of corporation
Proof reading
Making outbound calls to the colleges, speaking to college PA's, Finance Directors, Vice Presidents
Using various online portals
Book Keeping duties: using Capital Gold software system - - processing both Sales and Purchase Ledger invoices: less than 20 per month PLUS VAT returns, once yearly send reports to Accountants.
PA duties: keeping the diary up to date, managing the diary on behalf of the Director and other reasonable requests

Person Specification:

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • A high level of professional telephone communication
  • Full ICT literacy and be competent in all MS Office applications
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Book-keeping experience (highly desirable).
