Your new job working as an Outwards Reinsurance Technician will be working for an established and expanding Lloyd's Syndicate. Your new company are a market-leading global specialty insurer and reinsurer, who have a major presence in Lloyd's of London, and a significant US and international reach. Due to growth within the Reinsurance division, a permanent position for an Outwards Reinsurance Technician has arisen.
Your new role
Your new job working as an Outwards Reinsurance Technician, means you will be responsible for the daily processing and management of allocated outwards reinsurance processing and recoveries and any credit control arising there including month to month processing. You will be responsible for producing outwards reinsurance information for business planning and strategic purposes. Your day to day duties will include; reviewing of the gross claims data to identify, calculate and process recoveries in line with respective cover note conditions and wordings as well as, calculating and process reinsurance premiums, advices, adjustments, brokerage, collections and pro-rata accounts. You will be responsible for working with XLPro reinsurance recovery system and liaising with actuaries and claims professionals in relation to loss recoveries.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as an Outwards Reinsurance Technician, within an Insurer, Broker or intermediary dealing with Marine, Aviation and Non Marine, both proportional and non-proportional complex Reinsurance risks will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will work closely alongside the Reinsurance manager where you will be able to utilise your solid experience in reinsurance, ideally gained from working in an outwards reinsurance department. You will be technically astute and extremely computer literate being able to pick up new systems quickly.
