Outstanding Teacher of Science

A Leicester City based secondary school has a need for an Outstanding teacher of Science to work with them from after Easter 2018 until the end of the academic year, there is an opportunity of going permanent at the end of the assignment. The school caters for c1500 pupils aged between 11-18. The school benefits from outstanding facilities and is benefitting hugely under new leadership.

As an Outstanding Science Teacher in this city school you will deliver Biology, Physics and Chemistry curriculums to KS3, KS4 & KS5 pupils. You will work closely with subject leaders to devise lessons that engage and challenge pupils to make good progress in all subjects. You will be asked to create a classroom environment that keeps pupils occupied and on task. A creative and animated approach to teaching is one that would be well received thus enhancing students capacity to learn and produce positive results.

Applications are welcomed from QTS and NQT Science Teachers that have the capacity and energy to help students exceed expectations. It is hoped that in addition to the broader science curriculum knowledge that will have the expertise required to maintain learner interest and ensure that behaviour policies are adhered to.

This position offer attractive day rates, stability and longevity. You will be required to work 5 days a week until the end of the academic year.
