We are looking for Outreach Mentors to work in and around the Derby and Nottingham area.
Nisai Learning, for over 12 years, has been providing online, supported learning to children and young people struggling to access mainstream education. With year on year organic growth over the last three years Nisai is going from strength to strength and is now looking to expand its team in a number of specialisms. Nisai have been recognised globally for its innovative delivery and educational outcomes and within the UK we are approved by the Secretary of State for Education in the delivery of education to learners with Special Education Needs. With offices and teachers based in Harrow, Nottingham and Stockton-on-Tees, we truly are a national provider delivering programmes to learners from the Scottish Borders to the South Coast.
Due to growth and unprecedented levels of interest, Nisai are now looking to expand the existing Nottingham team with additional Hub Mentors and Outreach Mentors.
Based in Nottingham you will be working with young people who struggle with the mainstream environment. Those who possibly don’t conform but need the support of an individual to help them succeed and progress back in to school, on to college, apprenticeships or the workplace. Job satisfaction is guaranteed when you are instrumental in the positive changes of our students.
Mentors work one-2-one with learners, overseeing their academic studies and helping them develop their social skills to become valued members of the community.
Our Teachers work with learners across the country through our online delivery method engaging and progressing young people who require an alternative approach to education.
Successful applicants will benefit from formal induction and ongoing support throughout their time with Nisai. The successful applicant will have a positive and creative approach towards children and their learning and must be able to form trusted relationships with children quickly resulting in an effective learning environment.
NB: You will need access to your own Car for this position with a clean driving license, along with a current DBS and the right to work in the UK.
