Out Of Hours Consultant

The business delivers an out of hours' service for clients ensuring continuity of service throughout the day, evenings and weekends. As a result, we are now looking to recruit additional consultants to join the out of hours' team.

Job role:
To understand and match the needs of our clients and candidates.
To provide quality tailored recruitment services whilst continually meeting targets.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Sales Activities

Manage booking requests.
Deal with speculative calls, aftercare and service calls.
Negotiate fees and rates in line with company policy and issue Terms of Business.

Client Management

Serve clients, identify their needs and provide feedback on the success of filling jobs
Qualify job specification / salary information and record accurate and comprehensive job description
Gather info on client (decision maker and no. of staff in department)
Network internally and externally with clients

Candidate Management

Candidate control - keep in regular contact to review progress and performance
Pre-screen candidates before their interview for suitability and conduct interviews
Manage candidate availability for interviews and permanent / temporary work


Capture info / calls / bookings correctly on IQX database - update and maintain client and candidate information database

Where required enter bookings into online portals

Manage own personal development planning

Ensure records are kept in line with legislative requirements

Carry out work instructions in line with Key Processes

Any other duties as required

Experience required

Healthcare/Medical Recruitment Consultancy experience a distinct advantage or Direct sales &/or call centre experience in a target driven environment where you have had to identify new clients and maintain existing clients

Administrative functions

Experience of using MS Office to include Microsoft Word, email & database systems

Competencies Business decision making and knowledge - Ability to make effective judgements on available data/knowledge

Building relationships - Ability to build relationships, interact sensitively, use effective networks
Planning and organising - Ability to identify the steps to be taken to achieve objectives

The hours for this position are weekdays Monday to Friday 6pm to 11pm and Saturday and Sunday 6am to 14:00pm including bank holidays. The role will be on a rota shift basis working 5 days over 7.
