We are currently looking for a Organic Synthetic Chemist to join a leading company based in the Sittingbourne, Kent area. As the Organic Synthetic Chemist you will be responsible for assisting, or leading API projects.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Organic Synthetic Chemist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Organic Synthetic Chemist you will apply your chemical knowledge to novel research and development projects.

2. You will synthesise, separate and purify chemical targets, using techniques such as NMR, HPLC/GC and MS for structural determination.

3. As the Organic Synthetic Chemist you will assist or lead API projects whilst providing clear and concise updates to the wider team.

4. You will join a team of highly motivated scientists within Technical R&D.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Organic Synthetic Chemist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in Chemistry

2. Proven industry experience working within pharmaceutical development teams.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with API projects.
