The ongoing management of our existing customers - supporting them with a quick and accurate response to their spares requirements is a highly regarded and business critical part of our growing business. The development of customer propositions is driven by a dynamic, innovative and customer sales focused team, that can define and deliver a solution that supports the specific customer need from a product and cost perspective.

To support the ongoing growth of this team we are looking for an ordering administrator (ideally from an engineering product perspective) with experience of raising orders and supporting the delivery of spare parts in a timely manner.

General Requirements:

To provide a dedicated and complete spares ordering service to Dematic customers in respect of:

  • Take orders from customers by phone or via email
  • Check stock availability and discuss order with suppliers
  • Places purchase orders based on authorisation matrix
  • Agree order times with supplier and customer and ensure these are achieved
  • Follow up order to ensure parts are delivered on time
  • Raise invoices through SAP
  • Support to other members of the spares-team
  • Control of all electronic and other filing systems

To be successful in this dynamic and business critical position you will have experience within spares administration or purchasing with an ability to work under own initiative and to work well under pressure, particularly to customer service level requirements; with confidence, coupled with an ability to persuade customers and suppliers alike, often under cost or time critical conditions and most important of all have effective written and spoken communication

  • Ability to deal with external and internal clients at all levels
