My client, a leading insurance Broker is looking for a motivated Operations Manager to build and lead a team of IBA Technicians (in Pune, India), providing supervisory and technical guidance on various Legacy projects under this programme. You will need to provide technical solutions and guidance to colleagues, undertake investigations and liaise with business units globally including finance and underwriting and the binder broker to achieve targets and deliver an excellent and comprehensive service.
- Successfully create the in-house operating platform to ensure a smooth transition from a Binder Broker to in-house processing of legacy binders
- Lead reconciliation projects to ensure premium and claims have been fully processed from cover holder through to carriers and vice versa
- Interrogate cover holder and Binder Broker data sets and ledgers, ensuring final positions are summarised and reported at the point of Broker on record transfer
- Undertake investigation, administration and processing of accounting transactions on legacy systems and processes to address outstanding ledger balances including: payable balances unallocated cash, unallocated cash, claims receipts
- Scope, plan and direct ad hoc projects to successful conclusions
- Ensure legacy binder premiums and claims are processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Resolve queries promptly and efficiently
- Provide relevant MI such as premium and claims processing reports to senior management, when requested
- Keeps informed of all regulatory and legal changes which impact job role
- Ensures all records are up to date and maintained
- An in-depth knowledge of processes and procedures within the insurance market
- Provide strong leadership and direct and manage the work of the IBA Technicians
- Strong communication skills, verbally and in writing, both externally and internally
- Ability to undertake and demonstrate competence in technical training as required by the industry regulator
