Just Surveys Ltd are a well-established family run business who have over 25 years’ experience in providing honest and impartial advice and drainage reports to clients throughout England and Wales. We are now looking for a full time Operations Manager to join our expanding team at our site based in Highnam.

Your role as Operations Manager will be to help steer the company on a day to day basis and help the business to expand and flourish. We are looking for a team player who can demonstrate the ability to use initiative and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in securing new business and will have previous experience of working in a similar operations role. Specific duties include:

  • Managing the allocation of works
  • Day to day running of operational administrative tasks
  • Supervising and coaching of staff
  • Co-coordinating staff training
  • Maintaining quality and standards within the company
  • Overseeing Health & Safety procedures
  • Building customer relations and sourcing new area of works
  • Responsibility for IT and Cyber Security

Main purpose of job

The objective of the role is to maintain company standards, help run the business and expand our current client base.

Specific Job Duties

  • Booking in works.
  • Allocation of works.
  • Providing written quotations for works.
  • Day to day running of the operational administrative tasks and delegating of duties.
  • Problem solving and finding solutions to day to day events as they arise.
  • Supervising and coaching of the Trainee Yard Manager.
  • Supervising of one administrative support person as required.
  • Writing up of reports as submitted by the on-site engineers.
  • Monitoring and guidance of employees where required.
  • Co-ordinating staff training as required.
  • Advertising, interviewing and recruiting new members of staff as required.
  • Encouraging a positive work environment and work culture for all employees.
  • Maintaining quality and standards within the company.
  • Overseeing the Health and Safety of the company.
  • Implementing safety programmes and ensuring compliance with all safety policies.
  • Building customer relations and sourcing new areas of works.
  • Providing input into the current and future IT requirements within the company.
  • Responsibility for IT and Cyber Security
  • Creating and producing monthly reports to the Directors.
  • You will be required to perform any other duties as directed by the Directors.

This is a new diverse role which will be developed with the help of your input.
