As the operations manager you will responsible for the operational areas both in the UK and China with a focus on driving business growth and a high performance culture.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
Analysis and forecasting of performance
Working closely with the MD and Sales Director in commercial negotiations with customers
Advise the Directors on costing and pricing, ensuring profitability and margins are maximised
Support and deputize in the absence of the MD
Manage supplier and key customer relationships. Regularly visiting and ensuring service levels are adhered too
Ensure timely delivery of high quality products to meet customer specifications.
The company has its products manufactured in China, the successful candidate will be expected to travel to China several times a year to visit the factory and to visit outside suppliers.
The successful candidate needs strong leadership qualities to manager the UK offices and be able to communicate with the Chinese factory on a daily basis.
You will come from an impressive background in manufacturing and engineering as you will need to have experience of shipping large containers of multiple products to various locations around the globe and an understanding of product development.
Attention to detail is paramount you must be consciously aware of everything that is going on around you and be comfortable to get stuck in when required and have a good understanding of financial reports.
