Duties and Responsibilities
This company provides on-board catering services to the rail network. You will be directly responsible for the Catering operation across the whole of a particular route; as well as the liaison with the other service centres that supply to the same route, to ensure that the level of service is provided as per the Client's requirements.
Key Responsibilities include:
Preparation of annual budgets and the delivery of these through cost controls and maximising revenues on an ongoing basis.
All Health and Safety matters associated with the Service Centre operation and delivery on to the trains.
Effective use and maintenance of all plant and equipment.
Ensuring all products supplied to the customer are of the highest quality, implementing systems and controls as necessary
Manage all aspects of Stock Integrity and/or discrepancies
Ensuring that all relevant procedures, systems and processes including the ISO quality systems are in place and maintained at all times
Continuously seeking opportunities to improve systems, procedures, standards and specifications that will enhance the company's commercial position
Qualifications, Competencies & Experience:
They are looking for a high calibre, energetic and enthusiastic person with previous experience of operational management.
Experience in a food or logistics environment is desirable.
Leadership skills and people management experience in a fast moving operation
Customer/Client service experience
Experience of LYNX (or equivalent) business systems is desirable but not essential
Financial awareness and experience of managing cost centres, budgets and KPI's
Effective planning and organisational skills
Problem solving skills and Project Management experience
Food Safety Management and ISO 9001 experience
Retail Management experience
