We are recruiting for an Operations Manager reporting to the Head of Operations of an innovative, expanding insurance wholesaler. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing a team of 25 staff and must be able to motivate and inspire teams, helping to create a positive atmosphere in the office whilst following our company values. Will be offering insurance products to over 2500 brokers nationwide, providing an efficient and professional service. Must have management/operational experience within the insurance industry.

• Lead an effective, highly energised, innovative team
• Influence the culture within a fast paced forward thinking company
• Responsible for ensuring compliance on an on-going basis with the rules and requirements of the FCA and any other legal/regulatory and risk management frameworks
• Lead and drive improved customer feedback in order to driver superior customer service and performance in line with the Treating Customer Fairly strategy
• Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
• To perform monthly One to Ones with direct reports
• To conduct annual Appraisals
• To assist Team Leaders with any complaints to resolution, taking over the complaint if required
• Interview and selection of staff
• Ensuring all staff have Personal Development Plans ensuring they are trained and developed to meet the requirements of our company in line with our Business Plan
• Overall responsibility of day to day running of the department
• Complete and deliver reports
• Continually review business levels and report/act accordingly
• Engage, motivate and inspire your team, encouraging outstanding operational performance
• Good motivation, time management, delegation and organisational skills
• Lead by example providing clear direction and effective leadership

• Observe company procedures in the following areas to ensure the firm remains compliant with FCA and other regulations
oConduct Risk/ Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
oConflicts of Interest
oTraining & Competence
oFinancial crime including:
§Money laundering
§Bribery Act 2010
§UK financial sanctions
§Data security (including Data Protection Act)

• Produce and maintain own personal development plan together with Training Co-ordinator
