Your role in the team
This is a strategic level role and you need to be able to use influence and authority in the leadership of the treasury function to work collaboratively across the organisation You must be able to adopt innovative, leading edge approaches to managing key stakeholders, while protecting the reputation of the organisation.
Day to day, you'll work with the Group Treasurer to improve the service provided by the Treasury Operations team. You'll manage and optimise the operating costs of Treasury and ensure value for money and cost effective risk reduction. You'll take the lead on improving the group's liquidity positioning and also carefully monitor and manage the group's daily global liquidity. You'll drive accuracy in cash flow forecasting and ensure day to day visibility of bank account and wallet balances across the Group.. You'll adopt a continuous improvement approach towards working capital and free cash flow and explore new payment methods and oversee their implementation. You'll champion improvements in supplier practices to reduce costs, maintain lists of operational facilities and ensure sufficient lines and limits exist to support ongoing operations. You'll have the opportunity to develop new initiatives and modernise Treasury operations.
We need you to be a qualified accountant with extensive post-qualification experience and a solid understanding of commercial business principles. ACT is also desirable. You must be able to balance risk with business opportunity, and can confidently influence stakeholders by translating complex and technical financial information into meaningful conversations. You'll have experience managing relationships with legal, audit, regulatory and financial institutions. You should be prepared for occasional UK and overseas travel.
