Your new role
Business partnering operations managers, enabling them to understand & interpret the financial performance of the site and highlighting opportunities for areas of improvement. Control of three year plan, annual budget and monthly forecasting process for all operational costs. Financial support & governance of initiatives relating to continuous improvement. Verifying the savings of any initiatives pre-signoff and monthly tracking once live. Financial support and governance of capex spend. Control of operational overhead spend and identification of cost saving opportunities. Month end preparation, analysis & commentary. Ownership of operational P&L. Ad hoc analysis and project work. Responsibility for another site with similar duties. Job will involve travel and staying away from home up to a couple of times a month.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with a minimum of three years post-qualification experience. Proactive in driving performance and challenging key stakeholders. Able to interpret financial information and communication this to non-finance colleagues. Ability to drive a continuous improvement culture within the operational teams. Advanced Excel skills. An eye for detail & accuracy whilst still continuing the bigger picture. Able to drive and able to spend time away on business up to a couple of times a month.
