What your role will be
As a member of the Senior Management team the Operations Director will work very closely with the Managing Director and play a large part in ensuring that the day-to-day profitability for operations and the wider business meets budgets, whilst also sustaining excellent service standards and client relationships.
You will achieve this through your teams who manage and deliver our facilities contracts throughout the UK. You will take an active role in contract management and work directly with our clients to ensure SLAs are delivered upon. Additionally you will take an active role in understanding our contracts, ensuring your team understand their responsibilities and making commercial decisions when faced with contract negotiations and change requests from clients.
Above all you will be wholly responsible for ensuring all activities conform to statutory and company health & safety, environmental, quality and safety objectives.
Our clients are based from Glasgow to Poole, therefore you will need to be nationally mobile, our head office is in Harrogate and there is an expectation you work there at least once per week.
To achieve in this demanding role you will have excellent knowledge in the hard/soft FM sector, you will be at ease managing and coaching teams to deliver excellent service within this sector. Your teams should always understand their contractual obligations but also know when to “go the extra mile” to delight our clients and customers.
You should be able to evidence where you have analysed complex legal contracts and translated legal speak into deliverables for your teams and from your understanding negotiated with a “win-win” approach with clients. Ideally you will have experience working with clients from all sectors, public sector, private sector and financial services.
