As an Operations Delivery Manager with overall control of the Operations Planning Centre South, your core accountability is to ensure that all of our field operatives have effective full-day schedules and excellent front line support to enable them to deliver best in class services in our customers’ homes. Your understanding of establishing efficient operational processes is essential in setting your teams up to succeed. This includes: identifying, crafting and implementing new processes with new IT systems, providing guidance, inspiring teamwork, focussing on performance and holding our customers at the heart of everything you do.
Energy Services is a segment of npower, supporting the Home and Business and Business Solutions’ segments. Its mission is to make a rapid transition to a Smart world and equip npower to make the most of the future connectivity in a new smart world. With approximately 1800 field and office people geographically dispersed, the Energy Services’ strategy is to build a competitive advantage, through reduced costs and better customer relationships. The focus is on developing core activities, accelerating enablers to deliver Smart capability, support the development of new products and services for customers and continue to deliver ECO(Energy Company Obligation).
On a day to day basis, you will take a leading role in team culture and engagement activities that include team briefings and corporate communications to ensure all functional areas operate to the highest levels of support. Coaching and mentoring team members through business issues and difficult situations will allow you to share your knowledge and expertise from similar scenarios. This ever-changing procedural and cultural landscape is a large challenge you will face; so effectively communicating across the organisation, getting to know your stakeholders across all segments and working together to develop cross business partner relationships are the key to success.
We are looking for you to have a significant demonstrable background as a Senior Operations Manager with experience of working in a scheduling environment for field-based operatives. In addition, you will have implemented operational control measures both financially and performance based with the ability to interpret analytics. And of course, as a competent leader, have excellent people skills providing direction, development and mentoring for your team whilst also ensuring you coherently communicate with senior managers across the business.

Salary and package details
Circa £58,000 per annum and package that includes 15% bonus, company pension
and private medical cover.
