Operations Coordinator

My client are a leading food service business south of Norwich and are now looking for an Operations Coordinator to join the team, responsible for the control of stock and supply chain to ensure delivery of excellent customer service. You will be expected to become an expert in stock and the company ERP system.

Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will work closely with customers, suppliers, production, warehouse and third-party storage and logistics providers.

The role involves production planning, creation of sales, purchase and works orders, stock reconciliation and booking transport.
There will be involvement in New Product Development and projects.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* Being customer contact for day-to-day supply / order queries
* Processing customer orders, arranging third party haulage and creating despatch paperwork
* Maintaining consignment stock levels and accuracy and two external warehouses
* Writing optimised production plans to meet customer demand within capacity limits
* Raising and completing works orders to maintain stock accuracy on finished goods and materials
* Raising and maintaining purchase orders as required by production plan and safety stock levels
* Monthly Sales & Operations Planning cycle, reviewing forecasts, item status & factory capacity
* Master data maintenance and regular housekeeping on company ERP system
* Project team member for NPD, site and ERP system upgrades
* Support Finance with purchase & sales ledger invoice query resolution
* Support warehouse with cycle counting and investigation of variances
* Weekly production of customer packaging stocks and 'plan vs actual' documents
* Other general administration and reception duties as required

The person should have:
* Experience in Supply Chain / FMCG environment
* High level of attention to detail
* Experience of working within a fast-paced environment would be advantageous
* Self-motivated, conscientious and well organised
* Ability to work with and analyse data
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* Ability to work with and analyse data
