Our client is currently looking for an Operations Assistant, whose main function will be to act as the first point of contact for visitors and callers to their office, and to provide administrative support to their Finance and Operations team.
Part time, 17.5hrs per week (3.5hrs Mon - Fri, equivalent to 50% of full time)
Salary: £21,000 - £24,000, pro rata
Our client is an education charity that puts film at the heart of children and young people’s educational, cultural and personal development. They are proud to say that over half of UK schools engage with their exciting programme of film clubs, cinema screenings, resources and training.
Key tasks include
- ensuring that kitchen and office supplies are adequate and that the office environment is maintained and clean, tidy and safe;
- liaising with external contractors where necessary;
- ensuring that calls are answered and the post is franked and ready for collection;
- finance administrative support duties, including invoice preparation and data entry
The successful candidate will have previous reception and office admin experience with familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite. With a charming and patient telephone manner and at ease when dealing with teachers and members of the public, you should be calm under pressure, an adept and methodical multitasker and able to ensure that deadlines are met. You should also have an interest in and knowledge of best environmental practices.
