Operations Administrator

Great salary + excellent benefits

Working hours (3 week rota): Week 1 06:00-15:00. Week 2 -11:00-20:00, Week 3 - standard shift 0900-18:00

My client is looking for an Operations Administrator to join their small transport and operations team in Bristol. This role will include working with a team of 4 in a small but very busy environment.

Each shift will hold different responsibilities but ultimately the inbound administrator will cover tasks relating to their inbound trailers and specific tasks required to ensure all inbound freight is on delivery. There is a high level of quality involved within the role, therefore high attention to detail and adherence to the company processes.

There will be a high degree of warehouse work from a point of view of checking stock and labelling and liaising with their external partners who they use for all their warehousing. So it will be important that you are comfortable dealing with warehouse staff and working within that environment.

During the 11:00-20:00 shift you will be dealing with their outbound trailers, currently one main trailer but from time to time they will use additional outbound trailers to load their freight. There will not be a requirement to load but to work closely with their onsite client and their staff who load the trailers to ensure the correct freight is loaded. They scan their own freight, so it is paramount that attention to detail is shown as links in with their high quality KPI's and SLA’s to their customer base. At times trailers can be late arriving so they will need to be aware that they would need to work on until the trailers have been loaded.

There will be a certain amount of physical work as there are loading bars that needs to be manipulated ready for loading freight which is a simple process.

During the Standard shift of 09:00-18:00 it will be focussed more on administration work, day to day computer usage therefore a high degree of computer literacy as well as customer service. You will be liaising with their agents daily and will be required to handle different situations and problems with deliveries and be able to show a high level of problem solving, with an onus on seeing the problem through to the end.

This job opening will contain physical activities and will require somebody flexible with working shift pattern and job responsibilities.

If you have experience of Transport/Warehousing administration, understand the logistics sectors and day to day issues that can occur with a strong work ethic to complete any given task, I would love to hear from you!
