Operations Administrator

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly organised, experienced Operations Administrator to join our fast-paced, innovative, alcohol gifting company, based on Melbourn Science Park, to handle a wide variety of supply chain administrative tasks, as well as help with reception duties.

As well as being super-organised, the successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, good numeracy and communication skills, bags of initiative and enthusiasm, be a self-starter, have good Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel & Outlook), and will ideally have FMCG supply chain experience.

Role Responsibilities

Drafting purchase orders; drafting delivery notes; creating and updating production schedules; recording and analysing sales; updating stock schedules for goods received and goods despatched; liaising with transport companies and customers; new production development and planning; and purchasing and despatching samples.

In addition, answering the telephone, greeting visitors, helping with other projects as and when required, occasionally running ad hoc errands (requires use of own car, with mileage reimbursed at 45p/mile), and assisting with other office duties as needed.

Skills & Abilities

The successful candidate will be extremely organised, have fantastic attention to detail, good numerical and verbal/written communication skills, and will be a team player with a flexible attitude.

Essential attributes also include having initiative, the ability to work effectively with minimal management guidance/supervision, and remaining calm under pressure.

In addition, you will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and will have previous administrative and/or supply chain experience.

Salary & Benefits

Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience, and we also operate a company pension scheme. An annual discretionary bonus may also be paid.

Holiday entitlement starts at 28 days per annum including bank holidays, rising to 33 days per annum including bank holidays after a period of service.

Company Info

Standard office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, with an hour for lunch.

Our office is based on Melbourn Science Park, just off the A10 between Cambridge and Royston, and we have free parking, free tea/coffee and a staff canteen on site.
