Operational Training Manager - Erith
Our brand new Customer Fulfilment Centre in Erith, Bexley is a highly automated warehouse that incorporates the latest, most advanced versions of Ocado’s hardware and software.
This is where all of our products are stored and where our customers’ orders are picked and dispatched from, using highly sophisticated systems and processes, enabling us to deliver in one hour time slots.
At the forefront of this operation is a dedicated training team who are accountable for the delivery of various training programmes, including the training of all new starters at the site.
Key aspects of the role
As the Operational Training Manager, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of all end to end operational training within the Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC).
You will be leading and supervising a team of Specialist Trainers as well as a large pool of Training Champions in their delivery of training.
Supporting the successful delivery of Management Training Programmes within the CFC
Ensuring that our training complies with legislation, operational standards and good practice.
Roles and responsibilities
Design, develop and produce training material relating to operational processes.
Manage the training team to ensure the service provided is of the highest quality.
Manage the team performance against KPI’s.
Be responsible for continuous improvement.
Carrying out audits and quality checking the effectiveness of the training delivered.
Ideally educated to degree level
Experience of working in a similar operational environment, such as distribution, manufacturing or pharmaceutical.
Proven track record in the designing, creating and delivering of successful training programmes.
