Operational Support Officer - Hospital at Night

This is a fixed term 12 months post with full time hours which will be worked Monday to Friday. However, there may be some requirement to work with the Hospital at Night (HaN) teams in the evenings. You will provide operational and administrative support to the HaN service within Glasgow Hospitals and be based in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. You will report directly to the HaN Project Manager, but will have a close working relationship with the HaN Clinical Leads in each hospital. You will be highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office and in particular the use of Excel.
You will have excellent communication skills and be expected to interact with personnel at all levels. You will attend meetings as a representative of the HaN Management Team, taking part but also, where required, producing and distributing minutes. You will be able to gather, collate and analyse complex information and performance data, identify improvement opportunities, and report all of this in a clear, meaningful way. You will be able to take direction but will also have the ability to structure your own workload and priorities. You will ensure the daily operational issues, arising from the HaN team overnight, are passed to the correct person to be addressed and fixed. It is desirable to have sound knowledge and experience of the TrakCare System and the ability to manage large volumes of complex operational data, whilst producing detailed reports and analysis using Excel, pivot tables and other tools. Beneficial experience will include: an understanding of the Hospital at Night (HaN) Service: a working knowledge of junior doctors' rotas and training schemes: experience of designing and delivering presentations and training.PLEASE READ AND SAVE THE CANDIDATE APPLICATION PACK BEFORE SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION.
