OPAT Nurse Co-ordinator - Band 5

We have a vacancy for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about providing and developing services that actively respond to the needs of patients who require antibiotic therapy.

We work closely with our colleagues in the community, social care, and of course across the Acute Trust to provide comprehensive assessment, seamless transfer of care, appropriate follow-up and rapid co-ordinated discharge where and when appropriate.

You should have demonstrable experience in an acute medical setting with proven skills, a good working knowledge and special interest in antimicrobial therapy. You will have experience of working in a varied MDT and confidently be able to give advice and guidance to all members across the clinical team. You will be fully involved in patient assessment and pathway development.

You will be highly organised with attention to detail to ensure all required information is collated and reported, both to support clinical care for patients and assurance on the delivery of this new service. Experience of working with colleagues and advising patients remotely as well as in face to face situations will be advantageous.
